The Artist: Arnold Iger was born in New York City in 1949. He studied
art at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, University of Hawaii, San Francisco
Academy of Art, and the Atelier 17 of Paris. Iger is a painter who has become enthusiastic about graphic
arts techniques. He perfected his skill as a printmaker experimenting
with representing forms from nature in a sensitive response to the natural
beauty in nature. Color etchings of plants and flowers are classic representations
of Iger"s best art. Printmaking that combines fine draftsmanship with
delicate color treatment has become an Iger distinction. Iger is represented in galleries throughout the United States.
He has exhibited extensively through the east coast including: WashArt,
an international art exposition in Washington DC; and USA Artexpo New
York. The Art: The etchings below show Iger's mature talent. The etchings demonstrate the artist's appreciation for simplicity and the subtle beauty of flowers. Realistic rendering is detailed and compositions have depth of color and well balanced and handsome composition.
